Dads at the Park

I went to the park today with my friend and his wife and their 11 month old. While we there playing another friend of theirs, a dad, showed up with his 10 month old. I watched the daddies play with their sons. It made me realize what a hole my baby daughter has in he life with no daddy.

To all of you dads, I hope you know how incredibly important you are and what you mean to your kids. Your value can never be quantified and your kids are lucky to have you...

Please don’t look at it as a hole in her life.

Your daughter just has a different type of family. She is loved, she is protected and nurtured, that's all kids need to keep them whole.

I agree with papachee, you are doing a great job! She will have men in her life and they can be a positive influence for her. The most important thing is that her mom is doing the best for her, she will benefit greatly. Just a side note: I was at the playground the other day and dads outnumbered moms. I thought that was so wonderful. And this was mid-week!

I agree with what you guys said. I had a horrible step father. He was nice one minute, and Satan the next. It was worse than having no father. I would have rather had a happy loving mom than a mom who was sad because she had a horrible husband. Sometimes it makes me cry to see dh with our children, because I feel like I had no dad. I think it would have been better with one completely loving parent than 2 not so loving ones.
Edited to add that the term "guys" is meant for women and men!! I don't want to offend anyone LOL
