One of the patterns I have mentioned that you could use PUL, windpro fleece, or waterproof nylon for the inside part of a diaper cover. My mom and I were searching everywhere looking for one of those three materials (we had the diaper making bug real bad...she lives five hours away and we were staying there for the weekend...).
Anyway, a woman in a fabric store suggested supplex, which is a nylon fabric. I looked it up and found out that it's water resistent, so we went ahead and made a cover with it and it seems to work well. I'm not very experienced in diaper making materials (still waiting for my PUL!!!), and I was wondering if anyone had used any kind of water proof nylon like supplex. It was so much cheaper than PUL, and very light weight.
What can you tell me about the pros and cons of using waterproof nylon?
