I try to reduce and reuse water as much as possible. Does anyone know if it is safe to reuse the water that collects in the dehumidifier say; in house/garden plants?

My dad used the water from the dehumidifer for his houseplants and vegetable seedlings since it wasn't chlorinated and his plants were real healthy. He would store it in (recycled) gallon milk jugs until he needed it.

My mom, who lives in WI, has done the exact same thing for as long as I can remember. Her plants look great!

That is a great idea, to put a jug beside the dehumidifier; Makes re-using that water much easier!!! off to find myself a jug! Thanks
