The hitting is getting worse....

I posted before about DS (14mo) who has started to hit me when angry. A few months back I taught him how to touch gently, and he never hit me again...until now. Of course, when he used to hit before it was not out of anger but it is now. If he's sleepy, his nursing gets delayed a couple minutes (sometimes a few seconds), or now he even hits me while I'm offering milk.
I had taken the suggestions given to me before to nurse him even if he hits me (because before I wasn't sure if I was giving him the wrong message by offering nursing right after he hit me and then signed for "milk"). But he is hitting me anyways, and on top of which, he hits me WHILE he nurses!!!
Sigh, I don't know what to do. It seems that I'm the only one he hits too. Showing him "touch mama gently" isn't working anymore....

The best solution I have found for hitting is to grab his hand before he makes contact. I don't know why, but it works for my ds. He went through a hitting phase a while back and that is what I did and he stopped. Now, anytime he starts to enter a hitting phase again, I do the same thing and, though he may try to hit a few times more, he drops it pretty quickly. That means that you are going to have to expect it and be prepared to stop him mid-swing. Good luck.
