I'm so psyched! I just started a new job about a month ago and the receptionist extraordinaire is pregnant. I got a Motherwear catalog in the mail a few days ago and saved it for her.
I just dropped it off and said that I thought she might be interested and she was really thankful and interested. She said that she 'really wanted to do that (breastfeed)' -- which now strikes me as so funny that we phrase things that way- but so did I when I was pregnant. She asked me if I nursed and when I said "I still am" she didn't look too surprised (Josh just turned 2). I made sure to say that I didn't think nursing shirts were necessary- that breast-feeding is natural, but that it can be nice when you are first figuring things out.
I'm so happy that she received the information so well and seemed to be interested in asking more questions. The phone kept ringing and I had to let her go back to work.
Now, I'll have to see when I can drop off the Mothering pregnancy issue.
I only hesitate because when I was pregnant all of this would have been a lot to absorb. I remember hearing the advice to forget about a crib and thinking, what are you crazy!!!! Cosleeping was the one thing my pedi friend said she would never do. So I was semi-aware of the issue and tried to use the Arm's Reach, but after ds cries stopped when I held him and fell asleep, I was a cosleeping convert. I'm glad that I was exposed to these issues before my child was born even though I hadn't decided 'what' I was going to do. So I guess I can approach things that way.
It is not like AP/Natural Family Living is really odd or out there, right!! LOL
