The clock...

Thread Starter
I have just realized something about my clock.

When not pregnant and I wake at 2 am I think to myself.."yes! more sleep!" And go back to sleep...

Now that I am at the end of this pregnancy, I wake and see 2 am and think "OMG, please be time to get out of bed!!"

Sorry for my random thought..but want to share someone who would understand...

I understand! When I get up to go to the bathroom I look at the clock and I think how can I do this every hour or everyhour and a half.

I am right there with you! I wake up to pee, change positions etc.. at least 4 times a night - and, I'm rarely in bed for 8 hours these days. Sometimes I just get up really early.

As each day passes (I'm now 2 days "overdue") my VBAC chances are decreasing, so although I want the nights to go by faster, I wish the days didn't pass by, and the calendar could slow down until I go into labor on my own!!

How crazy this pregnancy stuff is!?

Cheers,

Ugh, I normally love sleeping. Lately though, I just want to not be in bed.

It is very sad.

Sweetie, get rid of the clock! I did this when my #1 dc was born and nursing every ten minutes. It makes a huge difference, you can then relax more and listen to your body about whether you should go back to sleep, get up, or whatever. I mean it, right now!

I got rid of my bedside clock years ago. I have a cell phone that has an alarm function - but those glowing red lights telling me how little I was sleeping - annoying!

I totally know what you mean. Sleeping is so difficult these days, especially with the awful virus I have, that it just feels like a job that I'm lousy at. In general when I wake up at night I find myself praying that it's morning so I can stop trying and failing and trying and failing....
