help with last minute checklist...

Thread Starter
I'll be 37 weeks on Tuesday. The baby seems low (not sure what station, but midwife said he was a full hands width below my sternum.), and just from feeling my cervix myself, it seems a lot thinner than before, and perhaps a couple of centimeters dilated. I'm contracting a few times an hour, and have lose bowels. Hoping we hold off till at least Tuesday, think we will, but.. all my other kids came at 37 (the last at the cusp of 38)...so I'm trying to get everything ready, whilst sort of trying to finish my finals...The midwives did their home visit this morning...
just want to make sure I haven't forgotten anything...

Washed the clothes, sheets, blankets.

Placed stuff in bag to be sterilized (will sterilize it on Monday).

Soaked washcloths in rosewater and essential oils, bagged and froze.

Soaked pads in comfrey tea, froze.

Assembled birth kit in one place.

Bought a nursing nightie on ebay (it has yet to arrive) for discreet nursing when in-laws are here.

Made homemade aromatherapy sprays.

Charged camera battery.

Made homemade labor focus cards.

Made a ring bound "cheat sheet" for DP with tips, reminders, and positions. (its his first baby)

Made a labor comfort box with massage oil, ball, heating pads, cards, etc.

Washed birth ball.

Arranged labor cd's in one binder, placed on top of cd player.

Cleaned house.

Still need to buy food for the freezer, snacks, emergen-c, more calcium lactate, and ice.

#1. Am I missing anything?

#2. Should I get more than one nursing nightgown? I have pj's I can nurse in, but have to pull my entire breast out the top.

Thanks!

Wow, you look pretty organized to me! I'd probably be inclined to buy 1 more nightgown, but I can be a bit of a sweaty betty, especially since I've been PG, and then with warm weather now upon us, ack! I don't like waking up drenched.

OK, now that you're almost ready for your birth, can you come over to my house and help me??

I'm sure I won't be half as organized as you on my labour day...

I think I will be printing off your list to get myself organized

I bought two nursing nightgowns/pajamas-I figured it would allow me one to wash in case of leaking or spit up.

Gosh, your list is making me tired- looks like you've covered most everything to me. I'm afraid I'm pretty much all done nesting.

Good luck!
