Help? Lizard in my house.

Since it's in my house, I figured mindful home managment was a good place to start.
But seriously, to the mods, if there's a better forum, please direct me. Thanks!

So anyway, we did quite a bit of gardening today, so the door was open and closed a bit. And I'm pretty sure that's how the little guy got in.
I'm not afraid of him, I'd rather just get him back outside.
Last we saw of him, he shot into our storage room, too fast for me to catch him. Great, boxes of stuff for him to hide behind. :

Anyone got ideas of how to get him out?

Is there anything I should be worried about if I can't find him?

Even if you don't have ideas, I'd love some reassurance.

Thanks!!

Sorry, but this is a humourous title. I wish I could help, but I only have mice, and no luck ousting them, either...

Well I didn't intend it that way.
But a humurous title should attract replies right?

When I was a kid and we had mice, my dad had this humane trap. It was a simple little cage type that caught the mouse whole and unharmed. He would put peanut butter inside and usually within a day or two there would be a mouse caught in it. He would then take the trap to the nearby park and release the mouse.
Once we got a cat though, I never did see a mouse ever again! (And we got the cat as a pet, not as a mice catcher. That was just an extra...)
Good luck with ousting the mice!

So anyone else got comments on my lizard issue? :

To be honest, I have been seriously thinking about getting a cat, for the mice, but also because I really love cats, so it's a good excuse. Have you tried to google the lizard problem?

Replying to my own post....

Well he is in the storage room. I managed to move some boxes out and there he was, but he scampered behind the two standing closets. Dang it.

What entices a lizard, eh?

So a cat sounds like a workable solution for you then.

I did google. Basically they don't hurt anything and actually they eat other insects and roaches. Cool. (Not that I've seen any, thank goodness, but then the lizard would help). But the recommendation, if you don't want the lizard in your house is to catch it and release it. Which is the part I'm having trouble with!
