Do you have a Sonicare toothbrush?

My dentist is recommending I get one. I'm already going in for cleanings every four months -- I floss every night as well as brushing, but I have genetically bad teeth. (I blame my mom! )

Costco has a deal on them right now, although it's still pretty expensive. But I hate having dental work done, so maybe it's a worthwhile investment. Anyway, any thoughts?

thanks,
Erin

I have genetically very good teeth so I'm not sure that I could promise it would make a difference. However, I LOVE mine. I used to be such a skeptic and think that anyone with an electric toothbrush was lazy, I mean what? Is your arm broken?!

Then...

My dad got one and let me try it (with my own brush head) and I decided then and there that I NEEDED one. It seriously feels like I just got home from a cleaning after I brush.

If you can afford it, get it!

Love, love, LOVE my Sonicare! I have bad teeth as well (weak enamel) and was actually overbrushing my teeth so my dentist suggested I get one. I've been using them for years and really like them. They last for ages (I'm on only my second one--though I hope it dies soon so I can justify buying the newer model with the skinnier neck) and really clean well--and gently. IMO they are totally worth the $80-$100 bucks. Get the set from Costco/Sam's that has one charger/two units. It's not much more than getting a single unit elsewhere and you can share or keep the extra as a backup.

Love it. My dh has deep pockets and has to go 4x/ year for a cleaning...had root planing...the sonicare has made a huge difference for him. My teeth are good, but I can tell the difference anyway. They feel smooth and clean, and there's less scraping involved at the dentist. Totally worth the investment.

Cleaning the toothbrush is a pain, though. At least, they get so nasty and you're only required to change the head twice a year.

Okay, you guys convinced me -- ordered it from Costco tonight (with an extra for DH). Thanks for the input!
