Does anyone have any information on side air bags in cars, which ones are safe and which are not? I know I've seen information somewhere, but I can't recall where, that some side air bags (perhaps older ones) are not safe for use with children in car seats. There must be exact information on this somewhere, with specifics about which car models use the best side impact air bags or which kind of side bags are best for use with children in car seats.
Can anyone help? We are car shopping and want to make sure we get the safest car possible but this is an unknown area we want to know more about.
