I just finished reading this book. It is by Jeannette Walls. OMG so incredible. I loooved this book. It was so shocking I could not put it down. I can't imagine being raised this way and turning out the way that she did.

Would love to hear anyone's comments who have also read it.

I read it too, and also found it to be incredible. I don't usually go for memoirs (i.e.-James Frey) but she certainly has an amazing story, and she writes very well.

We just read this (Glass Castle) for my bookgroup and everyone really enjoyed it.

One of those books that would have been completely intolerable as fiction - it would have been impossible to imagine parents acting that way. But as a memoir, it was incredible.

I highly recommend this book, but some of the images I'd like to forget are seemingly indelible. Nothing horribly grahpic, just stuff that makes me shudder as a parent.
