Carolyn "Eleanor" arrived by csec after I went into labor at 36w4d on Monday 4/17 at 6:57pm. She weighed 7lbs 11.4oz and was 19" long. She decided to aspirate some amniotic fluid as she was born, which has resulted in a NICU stay for her. She was under an oxygen hood for the first few days, but now is down to just a nasal tube, which she will probably come off of tomorrow. She's eating great (only breastmilk, I bf during the day, and they give pumped bottles at night, when I can't be there). She'll need to stay until at least Saturday, just for observation, but we're really hoping that she'll get to come home this weekend.
