Springsteen Seeger Sessions

This comes out Tuesday and I am so excited. A local radio station here played it this evening and it's awesome. I love that Springsteen is doing more solo work and returning his roots: a guy with a guitar who was first signed as a folk artist.

To hear some samples go to the amazon page: http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...music&v=glance

Erie Canal sounds great!

I love it too!!! Are you going to go try to see one of the shows? So far nothing in my area, darn it.

I love that the songs sound familiar in a few different ways...the folk tunes woven into popular culture...Bruce's voice.

My baby likes it too!

I am loving it!

No dates in Canada so far. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Have you checked out www.brucespringsteen.net lately? They have, from the soundboard during rehersals, "How Can a Poor man Stand Such Times and Live?" up for listening. It's amazing. They also list the full lyrics and give the history of the song. I wish it had been included on the CD.

Hey jerawo, that is so cool! Will you be able to score tickets near you?

Here's a video from the Jazzfest in New Orleans, bet you'll be able to pick out your friend! I do see a banjo player in it.

The video is of "How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times and Live?". Bruce is just getting better with every solo album. That and he's hot.

Thank you for the link.

Have so much to say about Bruce but it's too early in the morning to be eloquent. So will just smile.

OK...you guys,,,I am getting absolutely desperate. I did not make plans to see a show since there were none within driving distance from Oregon.

I was hoping that there would be more shows announced for the US with something closer to me.

Now I am getting panicked that there will not be additional shows this Fall. I know Bruce is having a great time, but some of the shows aren't even selling out.

I haven't missed a tour in well over 20 years!!!! I went last year even though it was the DUE DATE for my baby. I am just so upset that I didn't make plans to fly to the closest show. But it's tough with the baby, of course!!!

I hope there are more dates and that we all get to go.

Fingers crossed!!!! Has anyone else been able to see a Seeger Sessions show yet? Please share a report, if so!!!!

I haven't heard of another tour yet.

We haven't gone to a show - no dates were in the South after the NO Jazz Festival (and we were returning home that weekend from our banjo player friend's brother's wedding!)
