I always thought of it like mamamillet too, but it still makes me sad how we treat nature.

I think Shel Silverstein is awesome. His poetry was the only thing I read as a kid that wasn't totally patronizing. My dd loves him too.

There was a recent article about him in Mental Floss. It talked about how he started out as an illustrator for Playboy, and how he had a very successful musical career too.

I hate this book.

The boy in the book takes and takes from the tree.

The tree gives and gives and then is still giving when it is dead.

What is the message there?
