Cramps?

Ok I have a question I feel like I am having af cramps that kept me up most the night last night but I don't feel that it is contractions bc my tummy isn't getting hard does anyone know what this is?

How does your stomach/ intenstines feel? Could it be gas? :

But if they were regular, I would think they were contractions (maybe just really mild BH ones).

i've been having some strange cramping too...definetly not intestinal, but also my uterus doesn't feel esp. hard. i feel as though they are mild BH, but i was under the impression that even BH tighten the uterus...so i'm confused. mine haven't been at all regular. in fact i haven't felt one for at least two days so eager for labor to start

so, have they remained regular? do you think you may be having "real" contractions yet?

Well it isn't intestinal it is just like I am haivng period cramps that are all around from the front my hips to my back and it just hurts really bad but
not tightening like my contraction have been doing. Now I am having this
horrible stabbing pain low in my belly so not sure what to think about it it
won't go away so I am going to try some tylenol and if that doesn't work
then I am going to call even though I just had a appt yesterday bc there
is NO WAY I am going to be able to sleep with everything hurting like this.

Thanks I just don't know what is going on with me I am having all these
pains that I never had with my other 2. I took some tylenol about 20 min
ago and everything is still hurting so IDK what to do. I don't think the doc
is going to be able to do anything.

Try some heat, in addition to the tylenol. Like a rice sock or a hot water bottle. Especially on your back, or where ever the pain is the worst (where it's radiating from). Also, try being in different positions (hands and knees, leaning forward) or taking a bath, if you can.

I'm so sorry it hurts!

I've experienced alot of these "period" type cramps. I told my mw about them and she said that they're actually MORE effective then BH's! So it's acutally a good thing.

Well that is a good thing then I guess I am just going to have to deal with it.
It has eased slightly so that is good but def not gone away by anymeans.

Ellymay - I'm in the same boat you are in... EXACTLY - I have all day long af cramps from pelvic area around the back. Only when the baby move does my uterus tighten. Then, I have these sharp pains when I try to move, roll over in bed, etc. and if I poke around on the sides of my abdomen, I can always find a *hot spot* that sends the pains radiating down to my groin area or around my side to the back.

I'm not sure what they are, but they all hurt like the dickens. I'm gonna go with what EcoMama7 says so that I at least have hope! LOL

Sorry if TMI, but are you having add'l discharge too? Mine always comes as a set....

No actually I have had almost no discharge at all except for 2 times now once last week and once this morning where I whipe and all the sudden there is a TON but then it goes away. Although I keep feeling like something is coming out so I put a pad on bc IDK what it is or if anything is coming out.
It is almost like I am having an imaginary period.

Crashing in from April's DDC (lurking here since it's almost May and I'm still pg!!!)...this is probably round ligament pain. The round ligaments go from the high sides of the uterus and attach down in the groin area, and they are *really, really* stretched out by now. I've been having yucky crampiness at night and if I try to roll over during the contraction the ligament pain just about kills me :

Momto1 - my chiro has been recommending finding those hot spots and lightly putting some pressure there until they release, a little bit of self acupressure. She said even though it's a ligament that there is a lot of muscle fibers in it and getting it to soften up is helpful. Since I've been doing this my pelvis is a lot more balanced, which can only be a good thing, right? Just go gently at first b/c you're right...it HURTS!!

Good luck mamas...these little critters will come out soon and then we'll have all sorts of other aches and pains to deal with

Me too. Period like cramps around my pelvic area and in my low back. Also nauseated whenever is happens, almost feels like I'm going to vomit...this only for the last day, the cramps for about 3 days. Hope we all feel better soon!
