I **LOVED** that show!!!! To this day, I can still sing (albeit quite horribly since I'm tone deaf) some of their their "Hello Song", or whatever it's called.

Did you guys grow up in the NJ area, by any chance? The only other people I've met who've heard of that show grew up in NJ. DH (from the South) always gives me a strange look when I talk about the Chuckle Patch & the big, pink, fuzzy squirrel named Sherlock.

YES! Apparently it was on local public tv in the tristate area. I still remember the song and the chucklepatch and even some of the jokes they told. I also remember that they NEVER said my name when looking in that magic mirror or whatever and I always wished they would. Anyway, eagerly awaiting your sister's response, Mamabug!

I know what ya mean. And that lady from "Romper Room" NEVER said my name (or nickname), either. Sniff, sniff.

Hey, how about those giant mushroom stools? And I wonder why I'm not more screwed up than I am...giant mushroom stools, fuzzy pink squirrels, giant flying people-bugs (The Bugaboos), The Banana Splits, those scary Kroft-puppet TV shows... were all the children's TV show writers ON something in those days?
Beats a steady diet of Dora & Diego any day!

They played in Long Island NY about 2 years ago but my daughter wasnt quite old enough to get it
Paula and Carole palyed a free concert in the park in the town I grew up in when I was in hs, my friends and I went, it was my FAVORITE show and the only one I was allowed to watch. I can still sing all the songs
