I do not think I can stand another celebrity pregnancy - Brittney, Angelina, Katie, Gwenyth. I just want to go to the supermarket and NOT read about these people!

Yes, because those of us who work and keep our figures are not REAL mamas to our kiddos.

chill- choli that comment wasn't directed at you. so don't claim it.

Petersmamma was referring to the fact that Britney isn't behaving like a responsible, dedicated, involved mother as it is..... if she was HOME & didnt have the Drama/Career/chaos, maybe her time & efforts would be better directed;
TO HER CHILDREN -Where it belongs.

The implication that mothers who work are not real mothers is insulting to all WOHM mothers. So, by the way, is your implication that we belong at home rather than at work.

Your 9-5 isn't exactly comparable to her long stints on the road away from her son or with nanny in tow. You do your job and you go home. Britney does her job, goes on a few talk shows, hosts a mardi gras, parties in vegas, then goes home. A bit different than your regular ol' WOHM.

Um, what makes you think that I work 9-5? ASSumptions about other people's lives can be way off the mark.

Well, now your putting words in my mouth wich, BTW, I don't apreciate. :

I did NOT in any way imply that ALL WOHMs should be staying at home all day with their children.

What I said was that without all the Drama/Career/chaos (that comes with her job) That maybe she would put more efforts into her mothering role.

Theres a big difference between being a 'working mom', & a Celebrity mom.

If you can't see that, it's not my problem.
Stop trying to be offended.

That was more of a figure of speech to be honest. I obviously can't know your hours, but I think you're being a bit defensive over this. My main point was that your working life compared to Britney Spears is probably way different. No one here thinks that moms who work outside of the home ( or at home for that matter ) aren't good enough or are bad mothers, etc. People in this thread are specifically referring to Britney Spears.

I see the difference. There's a huge f-ing difference!

I agree that maybe Brit could benefit from taking a lot of time off and learning to be a better mom. It appears that her career is more important to her than her son. I hope she changes that. I've seen so many pictures of her in public with the nanny in tow, and the baby is being held by the nanny. Some pictures have the nanny feeding the baby. Of course there are several pictures of her out without the baby, and then the famous driving with the baby pictures.

Yeah, while it would be nice to have a Nanny once in a while to help, I'd feel wierd having my kid truly attached to her. I used to Nanny, and the mom would be at home, reading a People magazine.

Many times, the youngest, a baby girl, would lean from her mother's arms for me to hold her, like she thought I was her Mommy (since I was there for the "regular times" like diapers, baths, naptime stories and playtime...)

I think she only ending up breastfeeding for a month or less.

Ted C. had a blind item about her back in Feb. She was crying in a dressing room about the pregnancy on Valentine's Day.
