38 week appt!

Went great, I've gained about 35 pounds, which I'm happy about. I'm 2-3 cent. dilated, and baby's head is suuuper low. I originally had an appt. for next Tuesday to have him strip my membranes if baby hasn't come by then, but I rescheduled it for next Friday instead, as my last day of daycare will be this Friday, and I would like to have some time alone with the girls before the baby comes. HB was in the 140's.

Syd...why the rush to strip the membranes?

I've read a few articles at midwifery today that actually show longer labors and more interventions when membranes are stripped.

I actually canceled my appt. for Tuesday, and am going in next Friday, we'll see where I'm at then. My problem is that financially, I need to have this baby "on time", as I can only afford to take 7 weeks off from doing daycare. My last day of daycare is this Friday, and I need to be done for now. I'm very comfortable with making the decision of having them stripped, although I know some people are totally against it, and that's ok too. With Emma, I went into labor within half an hour, and had a 9 hour labor, much nicer than the 24 hour one with Rachel.
