Okay. Getting SOOO frustrated here!!

Doc stripped my membranes yesterday to try to get me into more active labor since I am at 3 cm and VERY VERY soft and baby's head is fully engaged... And since I have been in such horrid pelvic pain...

Well, About an hour after, I started having contractions I could REALLY feel! OUCH! About 4 hours later I was contracting every 4 minutes. I did as they told me and drank a glass of water and laid down on my left side... Well, after 20 minutes, the dang things went down to 2 an hour! But PAINFUL! (These have all been back conractions, just like with my DD - I also had membranes stripped with her and started active labor an hour later and 26 hours after having them stripped, she was here...) I had them stripped at 5:30 and this was all by 10 pm... ALL night long, every thirty minutes, I had a PAINFUL back contraction that I was REALLY breathing through! Then at about 8 this morning... They STOPPED! Just stopped all together! Then at 9 they started again every 15 minutes, but not the painful ones this time... Just a LOT of pressure across my lower back so that it almost felt like I had to go potty ( and not pee type! LOL). This went on for another hour and then they stopped again. Then an hour after that, they were just random off and on PAINFUL contractions but no reall timing to them. Just whenever they pleased! LOL Then around 3, they stopped for good. No contractions at all!!

Then DH, DD and I went to the gym and I walked the treadmill for almost 30 minutes while DH worked out and DD played in the daycare area... Well, I have now been having contractions again. Some have been kind of owie, some not so much, just the pressure again... But they are coming about every 8 minutes...

I am getting so frustrated!!!! It is a 25 minutes drive to the hospital... And I don't wanna drive out there to have them send me home! (Did that once already - contrax were 3 minutes apart so we went in only to be sent home after a full hour of no progress - this was 2 weeks ago...) So do I sit here and wait and risk it? Do I drive in? Do I take the chance to drink something and lie down only to have them all stop again or give me the LOVELY sleepless night I had last night? What to do? What to do?????

This is getting SO annoying! UGH! Having another one now as I type! OUCH!

Okay. Done griping! I will hush now! LOL Thanks for listening (Reading)

Kerri

PS Forgot to mention, lost part of my plug this morning (at 7) and had the "bloody show" and then lost the rest of it around 5 this evening (At least I'm sure it was the rest of it! Can't be much more, right?? )

Keep up the good work! Don't let it get you down. It sounds like if they are that painful, they are probably productive, too! Try and rest, too. And eat to keep your energy up, because I bet you'll be having that baby really soon!

Sounds like it will be very soon for you! I had similar stuff the 3-4 days before my dd was born. On/off again, sometimes quite painful. Then I woke up Saturday morning at 8:30 with 30-45 sec contractions 1-2 minutes apart... my dd was born at 11:22 a.m.! So once you think "hey this may be it" I would *not* wait around but hit the road, mama! I got to my MW's house less than an hour before my dd was born!

Hope to hear an announcement soon!

My contractions with this last babe would taper off if I didnt do some nipple stimulation. I walked for miles and it did nothing but if you pull on your nipples or maybe use a pump until a contraction comes on. I did nipple stim all through labor (literaly) since my membranes had ruptured and I didnt want the antibiotics.
My mw said to keep up stimulation for 10 min. and if one doesnt come on then to stop and give them a rest. I managed to avoid the castor oil too!
Good luck mama!

Kerri!!
That happened to me!
Almost the same story!
I finally had the MW break my water when I was having contractions every 5 minutes or so (I'd had regular contractions before that lasted hours and hours and then just went away). After she broke my water, River was born within 2 hours.

I think you're super close.
I know the insanity it causes.
