Is this happening ALREADY? Tell me I'm not the only one!

I woke up two days ago and there were tell-tale stains on the front of my shirt-my breasts have begun leaking breast milk! I thought maybe it was a fluke, but the last 2 nights, the same thing. Not a lot, but it's definitely there. It doesn't happen during the day, just at night, probably when I'm on my side. There is definitely dried breast milk on the front of my shirt in the morning! Now, I know that I've posted about my enormous chest before, so maybe I'm just waaaaay ahead of myself. But this is so weird!!!!! I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow! ACK! Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm not leaking yet, in fact I don't leak badly even when nursing, but I am starting to find little crusty bits of milk on my nipples. Can't express a drop yet, though.

DH is not happy about the development. The thing he hated most about nursing was not having full access to my breasts. Poor man, DD only weaned six months ago and he's about to lose access again.

You know what's funny, I am still nursing DD and haven't seen any kind of increase in milk supply. At this point I would LOVE to see some leakage at least that would mean I'm making enough milk.

It's really quite common for the leaking to start at this point, however. I am sure it's incredibly annoying to women who aren't yet breast feeding!

Is it normal??? I hope so.... I did leak before I had DS, but I don't remember it being this early in the game.

Yes, I think it's normal, even this early. Your breasts already know how to make milk, the structural changes are already in place, all the pieces are ready to go.

I don't really know, but maybe this means you won't have any engorgement when your milk comes in? We can hope you'll be so lucky!

I noticed milk last night and I thought already????then I realised that I only have 3 and a half months to go arrgghhh,
where did the time go??

I noticed milk yesterday too! I was glad to see it but- WOW where has the time gone? Only 14 weeks left!

oh wow, I hope I get some milk over here since I'm dry nursing my 13 month old when she needs some comfort. I wish I had milk to give her just for the nutritional benefits alone

I leaked for the first time a week or so ago. In public. With no extra shirt. Nobody told me about the whole leaking thing. I was completely in awe of my own breasts.

I've started making colostrum recently too, but I wasn't surprised. I have been nursing (and tandem nirsing) for the last four years straight.

Colostrum- YIPPEE!

I found dried colostrum on the inside of my bra for the first time yesterday! YIPPEE!!!

Yup, it's completely normal to start making colostrum at around 6 months. Congrats mamas!!

Yup, I too have been getting colostrum on and off for the past month. The first time I noticed it I was completely in awe..
