Feeling LESS pregnant?!?

I am definately NOT complaining!! My hips/back have been killing me for the last month. It has been a struggle to even walk some days. I just realized that I am not in any pain today. I am definately waddling still but all of the pain is gone (at least for now...I hope I'm not jinxing this!!) I have a ton of energy today (I guess to be attributed to nesting) and am generally just in a really good mood. I hope that I'm not moving backwards!! Anyone else feeling better than they have been? I definately don't remember this from last time!!

39 weeks today!!

i'm with ya...baby dropped a TON overnight...there was a lot of shifting and turning all night, and when i got up, there was actually space between my boobs and my belly!

my energy has been up today, but the leg cramps are keeping me from doing anything...luckily i got most of my nesting done yesterday (even washed the walls! ). i wonder if there will be a baby boom over the next couple days, what with the new moon....

OMG, yes! I'm really glad you posted this. After weeks of exhaustion (maybe it was, ahem, the move), I've felt SO good for the past week and change. So much less tired, sleeping better, no real pregnancy aches and pains. This is very weird, b/c baby has definitely gotten bigger in the last couple of days (I'm eating like a truck driver). To be honest, if it wasn't for the belly and the in utero acrobatics, half the time I feel like I wouldn't even know I was pregnant.

I'm only 35.5 weeks, BTW.

At the same time, though, I've been feeling a lot less connected to baby than I was. This is also weird, b/c I'm doing a lot more baby prep stuff (sorting clothes and dipes, getting together my bags for the birth center, making and freezing food, etc.). Does anyone else go through these phases where you just don't feel so connected to the little one? It's kind of worrying me...

I can definately relate. I felt the babe sort of "wedge" itself down last night after I laid down to go to bed and suddenly: I could breathe again!!!

I got so excited (mind you, I never went in to labor last time) about the possiblility of going into labor soon that I couldn't sleep until 2 am!

I'm at 38.5 weeks and it just feels good to know that my body is doing what it should, since my AWESOME provider hasn't done any checking for the last two weeks. He's assured me that I could go up to 42 weeks before we need to talk about "options" but he'd prefer to have me deliver "any day now". I've been mentally preparing to go over my due date, and I know I still may, who knows.

I just feel so good, although sleep deprived! Bring on the baby!!!

I'm feeling less pregnant too... I had a chiro adjustment yesterday so I feel much better physically and the sh!t that hit the proverbial fan is almost cleaned up (we have sewer issues and it's been since Saturday since we could use the water/sewer like usual). Dh and I had some personal issues to work through, my great-grandma was just brought in from out of state by plane to recuperate in a local nursing home... and my grandma just had surgery yesterday. Things are wrapping up though, so I'm going to be encouraging baby to c'mon outta there starting tomorrow night (not doing anything, but just reminding baby that I'm ready too ).

I've been running ragged and do feel a bit less connected to baby. It is scary, isn't it Amanda? I think for me, it's been a coping method to avoid stressing the baby out the way I feel, ya know? I'm feeling better today and enjoying lots of thumps from "Thumper".

May is almost here!

almost 39 weeks here and today i felt fabulous. babe was neithter up in my ribs, nor so low that it felt like I was trying to carry a bowling ball between my knees. I went shopping, walked about 6km and i still have the energy to throw some laundry on.
If it weren't for the bump, i wouldn't feel pregnant at all.

I have noticed that I have felt less connected to the baby this whole pregnancy than my first. I think that life just gets in the way more. I don't think I will have a harder time bonding with the babe once he gets here, but putting away his clothes was more like just another chore this time. When I was pregnant with ds, I would spend hours in the nursery taking out all the little clothes and reorganizing/folding them. I just don't have the time to do that now!!!
