Does anyone want to participate?

Who is your favorite movie character? Not necessarily who you identify with.

1."Black Mamba" from Kill Bill (I wish I could kick butt like that!)
2.The main character from "Life is Beautiful" - the father. I don't remember his name, but he made me laugh and cry.
3.Forrest Gump, well from "Forrest Gump".

And many others...

Maude from Harold and Maude!

Favorite dialogue: Cop: "Is this your tree?"
Maude: "Uh, no."
Cop: "Possession of a stolen tree."

OMG! With Holly Hunter? When I was a senior in HS that movie had recently been out, and I was the editor of the yearbook. Someone made the comparison of m to Holly Hunter's character in the movie, and it stuck. I can't tell you how much I loved that, I took it as a huge compliment.

I also love:

Katherine Hepburn - almost anything she is in, specially any with Cary Grant or Spencer Tracy
Atticus Finch
Molly Dodd - The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd is a TV show staring Blair Brown.
Holly Golightly - Breakfast at Tiffanies
Corie Bratter - Jane Fonda in Barefoot in the Park

I love love love Whoopi Goldberg as Celie in The Color Purple. So much strength and spirit.

I also love Sally Allbright (Meg Ryan) from When Harry Met Sally...

And ditto to Jane from Broadcast News. I also like her best friend... whatshisname Brooks. He breaks my heart how he loves her so much, and just cracks me up. The flopsweat scene? Holy cow, that kills me! (Can you tell that's one of my favorite movies??)

Hey! I think we've been leading parallel lives. I was the editor of my yearbook senior year when the movie came out, too, and I think that had a lot to do with why I related to her so much. I wanted to be a journalist, but ended up being a librarian instead!

Amygoforth, I also love Aaron (Albert Brooks) in that movie. I really wanted a man to feel that way about me!

I Hannibal Lector. He's so cute and polite for a serial killer.

My all-time favorite is Vincent D'Onofrio's character in Full Metal Jacket, Private "Pyle." So tragic.
