Dear Mamas,
We just arrived home from the West Houston Medical Center with our darling daughter, Milena Anjali Williams. After developing toxemia very late in my pregnancy, we abandoned plans for a home birth and admitted to the hospital for an induction at 40 weeks 6 days gestation.
Milena arrived at 2:11am. She weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. and is 20 3/4 inches long.
She is doing very well and nursing vigorously.
We are completely and totally in love with her.
My health is on the mend, and I will be resting up to increase my depleted iron and such.
I am so thankful we were able to have a vaginal birth (even though I had a closed hard cervix and looked "un-induceable"). It was a long hard road of pitocin and being strapped to a bed, etc. with IVs and such but my entire experience at this hospital was extremely positive. I absolutely loved EVERY single staff member I met. We feel so lucky.
Thanks for all your wishes and love! I will post her birth story soon.
XOXOXO
Beth Williams (and Michael and Milena)
