Menstruation Rituals

Hi everyone,

It's great that these boards are up again!

I'm a freelance writer working on an article for parents of tween/teen girls who are getting their first menstrual periods. What timing that Mothering's latest issue had an article about Red Moon rituals! If anyone has done such a ritual for their daughter, or would just like to include a few of their comments about guiding their daughter through this big event, I would be very interested in talking with you. If you live in Massachusetts, that would be especially terrific!

My email address is: ssgoldberg@110.net

Here's a link to an article that recently went up about helping your child cope with anxiety about bioterrorism:

Hi there
My own dd is years from needing this, but I thought the article in Mothering was wonderful and hope that I can do something for her when the time comes.
I just wanted to pass on the following websites for more information to those of you who need it now!

The following 2 sites offer beautiful ritual gift boxes full of ideas, momentos and affirming rituals:

http://www.mysticmoonpdx.com/

http://www.apbabyshop.com

This site is more activism but also good information

Thanks so much for your reply! Although I had to finish and submit my article shortly after my first post, I found the links you sent very interesting (esp. the "political" site! )

All the best,

--Ellen
