here on MDC latley that I decided to write about my wonderful experiance! My 5 week old has been having a really rough time pooping, so we decided to get in with a ped. in case there ever is any problems (shes getting better at it, though
ANyway, First of all the nurse was so pro-breastfeeding it almost shocked me. She was also really sweet with Dylan who hates being naked unless it is really warm. Then the doctor came in and he also had nothing but good things to say about our exclusively breastfeeding, and our plans to continue it until she is ready to stop. He also agreed that deleying solids until atleast 6 months is a good idea. He asked where she sleeps, and didn't even bat an eye when my husband answered that we have a family bed. Then he asked if shed gotten a Hep B shot or PKU test at the birthcenter where she was born. I said she'd gotten Pku but we werent going to give her the Hep B vaccine. He said he totally understood bc it is an adult disease passed through blood and sexual contact and a relativley new vaccine. So, dh says, "We wont be giving her any shots, atleast not for a while, so I hope you will work with us." And he said, "Sure I'll work with you on anything." He was also so good with Dyl while he was examining her, and it didn't hurt that he was young and really good looking too!

) We don't have the vax issues since we do vax, but when we put them off for some reason she is totally cool with it.. That said i am never moving to where dh parents live.. I have heard SOOOOOOO many horror stories about dr there, and just their over all med community.. DH mom really wants us to live closer.. (we're less than 2 hrs away, i just say NU_UH!!!)
