My Dr gave me a Rx for the Mini Pill. What should I know about it?

It's an abortifacient, and you MUST take it at the same time every day for effectiveness.

I waso n the mini pill for two years. I don't know if it is abortificant or not. But I DO know that I am 3 days from my due date! I concieved our third child when we went on vacation and my schedule got a little off. I didn;t miss any pills I just took a few later in the day than normal. They are VERY low hormone and have to be taken every 24 hrs.

By the way we are happy about our new little baby-but it was quite a surprise at the time

Yikes.... I think I need to find an alternative.

My mini pill baby is due May 25. It's a progesterone (sp?) only pill, rather than containing estrogen. That's all I know about it. Oh, and by "the same time every day" they mean, like, within seconds.

Or it doesn't work at all - I know too many minipill babies. It works by thickening your cervical mucus so sperm can't get through. You should try to schedule it around when you usually have sex - if you normally do it in the morning, take the pill before bed. If you do it in the evening, take it in the late morning, etc.
