Baby 27 1/2 inches long? New celeb baby...

Is that normal to be that long when you are born? Don Johnson's new 3rd child was just born and it said he was 27 1/2 inches long.

That just seems really long. He was only 7# something... I hope it was a typo for the mother's sake. Where would he have all the leg room?

There was a baby on TLC once who was 26" long... but daddy was a basketball player

If it was accurate, that baby would be HORRIBLY disproportionate. 7lbs is a bit below average for a full term boy, 27.5", meanwhile would be really good sized for a 7 month old, normal even for a 9 month old.

Joe was 7.11oz at birth & LONG at 23.5 inches- an inch away from two feet. His legs were drawn up to his stomach & he did not fully stretch 'em out for several days. He was looong- I can't imagine adding four inches to that...

I just checked - the baby was 21 1/2 inches, AP made a mistake and corrected it.

My nephew was the same length, and really close to that weight too (give or take 1-3 oz.)!
I'm really glad to heat that the 27.5 was a typo!

I thought that had to be a typo. My first ds was 10.8 and 22 inches and he was long! Happy news for them! Off to read what they named him

How old is he now? Joe is seven, and over four feet tall... He definitely did not get that from me.

He's 3yrs, 8mo but I'm not sure how tall he is now. I know is growth slowed alot around a year, but I believe he's still taller than average.

Joe was the same way- lucky for me, or he'd be 12 feet tall now...
