So disappointed..

Yesterday DH and I went furniture shopping, and on the way home I started getting alot of lower back cramps. Throughout the day, they progressively got worse, by about 6:00 last night they were about 5 minutes apart, and were getting uncomfortable. I took a bath to see if they would quit, like they usually do, but they got closer together. I was really starting to get excited! I tried going to sleep, but couldn't sleep through the contractions. So I got up and started cleaning/picking things up, and they suddenly got to be 3-4 minutes apart, and I was doing different positions to get through them. I called my mom to come over about 11:30, and we got to the hospital around 1:00 AM. After hooking me up and checking me, I was only 2 cent. dilated, I was expecting much more than that. But, after 2.5 hours of walking, using the birthing ball, etc. they really started to space out.: They were still intense, but just not close enough together, so yes, they sent me home. We got home about 4:00 AM, and I fell asleep, and since then they are maybe 20 minutes apart.: I am soooooo ticked! I *knew* this was it, as my BH are more felt in the front, and these were all back labor, which is what I get. I can't belive they petered off like that. So, here I thought by now I would be holding my little bundle, but am still pregnant. Ugh. And I feel embarrassed too, because I've been through this before, it's not my first time!!

How frustrating, mama!! Don't be embarrassed, it sounds like it would have fooled anyone.

Our babies will be here soon....!

wow yeah! I am also hoping to wait till after may 6th...the 7th would be better. There are already bday's in my fam on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th!
Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard? A 40 wk pg woman hoping her baby can wait one MORE wk????

Aw hugs! I've had a few nights of prodromal labor that I thought might turn into active labor, but no go. It's soooo frustrating!

Back labor is awful, especially if it is loooong. Have you tried rocking on your hands and knees? It will at least get baby off of your spine, and may turn around so you don't have a posterior birth.

Aw. don't be embarassed, its easy for babies to fool us. I been through it with my first child...and a little with this one. I hope you do get to hold your precious baby soon! Don't worry and find little things for you to do to keep your mind from thinking about it and waiting.

Ah Mama that's so hard, but you know those contractions were doing good work preparing your cervix for the job to come, so it wasn't all in vain!

Hang in there, it's gonna be soon
