Anyone losing mucus plugs?

Ok, this is the first time I've started a thread of my own, but I'm wondering:
Has anyone else been finding lots of mucus globs when they wipe?

For most of my pg, I would find small (quarter sized at the largest) yellow-white mucus globs in my underwear occasionally(like once a month or so).
For the last two days, I have been finding globs the size of one or two marachino cherries, every time I go to the bathroom.
Does this mean the end is near?? (due date=may 6!)

I got about a tablespoon or two yesterday, and had a baby by nightfall. It's a sign all right!

It is definately a sign of dilating - but, not to be a downer, it could still be a little bit. Last pregnancy I lost mine about 2 weeks before I actually had the baby. Those were a looooong two weeks!

just to add to a concluded discussion...
with this preg. i haven't found anything that i would consider part of a mucous plug, despite having a ctx. or two a day for at least 2 weeks.
With dd, i was 50% effaced and a cm. or 2 dilated at 38 weeks and lost my plug in one big glop during transition. go figure.

congratulations... by the way!!

Congrats waterbaby!

I've never lost a plug, but I always have tons of cervical fluid and have been partially dialated by 36 weeks so I guess maybe there wasn't much of a plug to begin with?

I have been having contractions here and there, but haven't noticed any plug yet. And I was due May 2! I'm starting to get impatient, but at the same time I'm finding all these last minute things that I need to get done so I guess it's a good thing. Plus dh and MIL are sick with colds, so it'd be better if the baby waits until they're better anyway I guess. But that doesn't make my aching back feel any better!

Well I lost a BIG part of it yesterday and another good size part today and if that means I am dialating more then gggeeezzzzz I am going to be half way
there before labor even starts for me........
