Deepa Mehta Fans~ Water is released

Deepa Mehta's new film Water was released recently. I haven't been able to see it as it is playing locally, yet. I did see the trailor for it when I was at the movies to see The Notorious Bette Page. It looks awesome and I loved her previous movies Fire and Earth.

It's already on video here (Canada), so those wanting to see it before it hits a local theatre could order it from amazon.ca

I haven't rented it yet but it's on my list for this coming weekend.

Yeah I really want to see it on the big screen, especially since I didn't get to see her other films on anything but dvd.

I just watched this yesterday. OMG how I cried!!!! It got over just as dh got home from work. When he saw me my face and eyes were all puffy from crying so much. I think I worried him there for a minute till I told him I watched a really sad movie. Oh how my heart broke for those women....so sad.

It's on my list! I saw the preview in a theatre here, but didn't get to see it on the big screen either.
