I don't know how much she charges now. I haven't been in over a year. I know she has set up group treatments that are less expensive. You can still get private treatments, too.

Personally, I'd make sure my family was taken care of before I took care of another's. If you aren't feeling up to taking care of someone else's child, just be honest about it. Anyone who is a reasonable person will understand and not let it affect a friendship. Anyone who gets upset about that isn't worth having as a friend, imo.

Hi Everybody,
I no longer have a baby (youngest is 12 yo) but I was wondering if anyone in the Jacksonville area knows of any holistic doctors? And any schools that encourage the arts? Any help you can give me would be appreciated as well as if there is a better place in this forum to post this. I am totally new here.

THANKS!!!

Jacksonville Acupuncture on Western is the only place I know. I did notice a Zen Wellness center on 24 in Swansboro. I couldn't read the fine print on the sign to see exactly what is done there.

I've been meaning to mention that Lowe's Food on 24 just after the light at 58 going toward Emerald Isle has a lot of natural, organic foods. They have wild caught fish, gluten free chicken, Laura's beef, uncured deli meats (not organic, though) and lots more boxed stuff.

Your welcome, although I don't think I was much help. It was great meeting you, too. We'll definitely have to get together again.

Sorry I missed todays play date! We had a prior engagement.

Clothdipemomof2boy: We have DVD in the LLL library called Tummy 2 Tummy... It has in-depth, step-by-step instructions for all types of slings and carries.

Welcome Angel

Hey Everybody!
Angel, My children are 10 and 13 we've homeschooled forever and there is a great network for homeschoolers here. My daughter Eden is interested in trying the new magnet school this year. It uses the International Bachelaureate(sp) curriculum that emphasizes arts throughout all subjects.
Our piano teacher at Mercy's Garden is the Music teacher there.
Its Clyde Erwin Elementary. Your 12yr old may be too old.
I know that Northwoods middle school has a dance program.
and Richlands High School just added dance to their curriculum so maybe the arts aren't dead in P.S. after all.
