Vaccines... do you plan to vax, delay or refuse? Feel your doctor's position on your choice.

Circumcision.... will you or won't you? How does doctor feel?

Antibiotics... Breastfeeding etc, what are his/her recommendations?

That's all I can think of off hand.

The big ones for me were parent choice re: vaxing, support of EBF, no annoying questions about where my babe sleeps and for how long, extremely conservative use of antibiotics, openess to alternative modalities, and a general feeling that my opinions as a parent were going to be listened to and respected.

Other friends have told me that availibility overnight and on holidays is a big concern for them.

Took me a LOOOOOONG time to find the right person. In fact I'm in the process of switching now and my DD is almost two but I am SO happy to say that I have finally found the right doctor!! He is amazing.

I went in for my consultation last week and DD of course wanted to nurse as soon as he walked in. He was like....glad to see you are still nursing. I said...yeah. I'm planning to tandem nurse. He smiled and said great. I don't know a whole lot about it so I look forward to learning from you!

I was like....ahhhhh....this is my guy!
