I just don't think it's fair that we have to give birth to the whole critter! I'd much rather lay an egg and carry it around (outside my body) for a few months...

we have a robin who has built a nest outside one of our basement windows. Dh's desk is right there so he gets to watch it all day. So far, one new blue egg.

The funny thing here is that when i planted tulips in the fall, i thought, 'when these bloom, our baby will be about to be born!' Well. All around town *all* of the tulips are blooming. Guess who's tulips are still green buds?

my dh thinks i'm nuts that i'm so obsessed with the fact that our tulips haven't bloomed yet...i guess i've discovered what this is really about- and it isn't the tulips!

I wish we birthed like a kangaroo! the baby is only the size of a peanut and then lives in the pouch. I could definitely handle that!

And NIP-ing would be soooo easy! The nipples are inside the pouch! I could so not sweat bringing DC with me into class. As it is, I'm scared if I try I'll end up spraying milk all over some innocent classmate and causing a huge mess. (I'll end up NIP-ing eventually, but I hav eto go back to class after a week or two. I fear the learning curve may take logner than that for both of us).

Hey... ya never know, you might not be a sprayer tie-dyed! A friend of mine has nursed three boys so far and doesn't leak or anything, ever.

My poor babies... I can't tell you how many times I gave the kids a breastmilk shower. Makes 'em sweet and sticky... and later they smell like sour milk.
