I've made several of the recipes found here: http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/Snack.htm
My favorite recipe is the overnight teething biscuits. I also liked the nutritious teething biscuits but has a tough time getting them to be hard enough. HTH!

I've made some from Ruth Yaron's Super Baby Food cookbook. I used them or the commercially available "Healthy Times Organic" teethers when my daughter was using teething biscuits. (Healthy Times were the only 100% wholegrain ones I could find in the store.) Here are instructions for whole wheat teething biscuits:

2.5 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp honey
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk

Mix together, adding additional milk (1 tbsp at a time) until the dough holds together in a ball. Roll it out to your desired thickness (~3/8" thisk) and score the dough in "biscuit-sized" cracker segments. (Use a pizza cutter or a knife, and don't cut all the way through the dough, just most of the way through.) Prick air holes in each cracker (press tines of fork all the way through dough) and bake in 325 degree oven until very dry, about an hour. Cool on a wire rack, and return to the oven for 5 to 15 additional minutes if the crackers are not hard enough.

If you want to give the flour an extra nutritional boost, add 1 tbsp soy flour, 1 tbsp wheat germ, and 1 tsp brewer's yeast to an empty 1-cup measuring cup, then top off the cup with whole wheat flour. This is what Yaron calls "Super Flour." This mixture would equal one cup of flour in the recipe.

Not if they have wheat, egg, cow's milk and honey in them.
