I'm reading a story about England during 1600s called As Meat Loves Salt.

I'm also reading the fourth book in the Jan Karon series about a sleepy village in Virginia named Mitford. I'm surprised I got hooked on this series because it has a slight Christian flavor and I normally don't read books that have obvious religious overtones but Karon has a easy, breezy style that appeals to me.

I'm also going to read Me Talk Pretty One Day about an American in Paris.

I'm so glad some people responded to this!

The only thing I have on my reading list so far is Stiff.

Me Talk Pretty One Day is great - It's one of my favorite David Sedaris books.

How is As Meat Loves Salt so far?

I will read 2 books by Phlip K Dick, my sister suggested him to me, he's who also wrote minority report. So sicne we're moving cross country in 3 weeks that will be reading material.

Then I'll read The Swarm : A Novel by Frank Schatzing, my sister got me this for christmas but I was too sick in early pregnancy to read it yet, it was a huge bestseller in Germany, we shall see how I like it.

Then I am hunting for a Sarah Douglass Novel, the 4th of the troy Saga, but on ebay they're going for 20 $ ! and it's not yet released in the U.S.

If you like novels set in other countries I suggest Berlin blues by Sven Regener. Also a huge success in Germany I really enjoyed this book immensely. It has a bad review by a Top 500 reviewer on Amazon and don't agree, maybe the translation was bad?

Very contemporary in style.

I'm going to read all of Jane Austen's works. Just started Persuasion. I'm also going to try to read a few non-fiction books or biographies. I'm trying to vary my reading list!

First up is the Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing

I've owned it for years and have started a few times. But this will be the first time as a wife and mother...

Another member of the David Sedaris fan club. My husband went to one of his book signings years ago, shortly after we had first met and he was really nice and put a sweet inscription in both of our books
