Source for bottles, ect for homemade cleaning stuff

Thread Starter
I'm thinking about making up natural cleaning solutions and giving them as gifts in baskets, ect. for the holidays this year. At home I re-use my old Windex bottles, but I'd like something a bit nicer to give for gifts, yk?

Any sources for such things without having to buy a gross of something, lol?

Thanks for any help!

This is the number one reason I dont make as many cleaners etc as I should.
Its always a pain in the butt to find a bottle.
I have old 4O9 spray bottles i use, but i find a recycled sprayer doesnt last very long. Neither do the ones i 've picked up at the grocery store.

Awesome idea about gifts!! In baskets with cleaning cloths!

http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/ has spritz bottles (brushed metal look) and other bottle types.

I bought some from the container store too, you have to ask where the silver spritz bottles are.

I made some nice gifts last month - body/hair spritzers with lavender, cedarwood and bergamot (same as what I use on myself). For some people people were impressed that I could make something and give it to them (even though it was slapping EO's with distilled water...go figure).

Put a note in the basket on how people can use your sprays, people get confused by all natural stuff and don't realize that you can use it for multiple purposes, unlike commercial products suited to 1 or 2 purposes.

Essential Oil + Distilled water combos in bottles, use as:
- Body/Deodorant Mist Sprays
- Facial toner, refreshing mist
- Hair revitalizer
- Air freshener
- Bug-repellent (depends on the EO)
- Linen-water for sheets
- Ironing water for clothes

Olive Oil + Vinegar + Essential Oils, use for:
- Wood Polish, Furniture Polish
- Acne serum/Overnight cream!

Baking soda + Citric acid crystals
- Tub Cleaner
- Bath bombs
- All purpose house surface scrub

Baking Soda + Essential Oils
- Facial and body scrub
- Carpet Fresh
- Household scrub

Vinegar + Essential Oils (like lavender and tea tree oil)
- Disinfectant cleaner
- Air Freshener for bathroom
- Carpet deodorizer/cleaner
- Hair Herbal Vinegar Rinse
- Wound Care
- Facial toner
- Rash/Chicken Pox/Bugbite care

You can get the heavy duty spray bottles at the hardware store for a couple bucks!

She was talking about something a bit more gift-worthy that looks a little boutique-y.

I think if somebody gave me a random houseplant spray bottle full of god-knows-what, I'd be like wtf?

Thats a great list of solutions and their uses! Thanks for posting it!

And the fromnaturewithlove link, I ve ordered from there years ago, totally forgot about it!

Oohhh, I see. I take that smartass comment back then

I was laughing out loud thinking how if I gave one of those big spray bottles to somebody I knew, they would be like "umm..thanks?"

actually i find that you can usually find pretty decent bottles/containers etc at the dollar store.

The Container Storehttp://www.thecontainerstore.com has lots of cool and relatively inexpensive containers. Expensive ones too! For all I know they could be exactly the same thing that are available in a Dollar Store though.
