Oil Cleansing method....worse before better?

Just started it Forehead & cheeks are looking good but my chin keeps breaking out. It's my trouble spot. Is this method "pushing out the bad stuff"? Or is it just not working? Been doing it a week and a half.....

OCM did NOT work for me. I got huge pimples - worse than I've have had and it took months for my skin to heal and to feel normal again. I know several people who have had a similar experience. If you continue to get breakouts, I might consider trying the oat flour method. Works wonderfully!

What is the oat flour method?

You can add things like honey, tea tree oil, and/or lavender to enhance the oat flour cleanser and boost its cleaning and antiseptic properties. Moisturize after washing and drying your face.

With the oil cleansing method you have to really be sure to get all the oil off. Otherwise you are leaving all that oil on with the dirt and just sealing it in. HTH

I really like something new I'm doing. I first do a gentle scrub with baking soda and then I use olive oil, vinegar, and tto with lavendar. I don't have to worry about getting it all off since I've gotten most of the crud off with the bs. I have major pizza face right now (hormones from pg) and this actually seems to be helping it.

*Spazzy claps*

I do that too! Did you get the idea here? I posted the 'acne serum' a while back.

I still use Dove soap or Cetaphil on my face, but I still use the baking soda to scrub and the acne serum.

I'm glad it's working for you!

spastica - I did! Not the bs part, but the other stuff. I really need something to get the rough skin off and the oil doesn't really do it for me! Was it you I got that idea from?

Ermmm - I did mention that baking soda worked for me, I can't take credit for baking soda. It's too wonderful and everybody knows about how great it is for ten million uses! I cover myself with baking soda when I take a shower, lol.

The only thing I mentioned was when I posted some stuff about the olive oil, vinegar, tto and lavender. I also posted a more natural mock-proactiv regimen (Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize).
