how do you freeze things without using plastic?

I am aiming to have a plastic-free household and was wondering what alternatives to plastic continers/ziploc bags there were when one freezes food. Have any of you had experience with freezing in stainless steel/glass containers?

i have heard of people using canning jars and pickle jars and such.

You can use freezer paper or butcher paper.
