~*~For the Last and the Longest~*~ - Page 3

Just wanted to let everyone know I will update this thread as soon as I have a few minutes to see where everyone is - it's amazing how much less time we have all of a sudden!

I think that right now, of the people who contributed, TanyaS is going for LAST, and I haven't had a chance to check the stats but I think she might make LONGEST also (you go mama, I am rooting for you every day). I know there are several who have gone longer, but who didn't join in, and I'm not sure how to handle that. We decided on a closing date of your "official" due date, and the reasoning behind it was that we wanted this to go to someone active in the DDC. So some who've gone significantly over woudln't be considered eligible, based on that. I think the only fair thing to do is to stick with the original structure, but if people want to chime in I'd appreciate it.

I have to say that I'm so glad I joined the DDC. This is my third baby and I never have had this online community before of such strong women

I really wasn't trying to go the last and longest, I promise! I honestly thought I'd go a bit early (both my other two did). Just goes to show you how inaccurate even early u/s can be! If I do end up the last and longest, then I'll just take the honor of one or the other but not both. Surely there's another mama who's deserving of one of the titles!

I think we should stick with the original plan. If TanyaS is the longest and last then she deserves to have the whole thing

Well, it's official -

TanyaS has definitely gone both the longest and the last. Our total balance in the fund is currently $76.00 - enough for her to get something special for herself!!

I promised Jessica a post on what I decided to pamper me and/or the baby with once I decided on something. I have to say it was nice shopping around for something I really wanted for a change. After three kids, it's not often I get to put what I want first!

Anyway, for my first two children I bought a beautiful baby book. It was nearly $80 each book. I wanted to get another one for this baby, but unsure when it would fit in my budget. So winning the last on longest prize has helped me get one for Keira as well. Even better, when I went online to find one, they have come down in price a lot in the last two years ($40-60 instead)! Here's a link: http://www.baby-memory-books.com/Mol...Books_s/36.htm I chose the pink polkadots first year book (I already have Baby Nicholas for ds and the minty lilac for dd1). Since the price is so low, I'll also be able to get some cloth wipes so we can make a complete switch to cloth. Any recommendations on good WAHM wipes?

Congrats Tanya on the win! You definitely deserve it for everything you had to go through with all the waiting. Enjoy the baby book. It sounds lovely.
