I've been thiking a lot about the labor and delivery lately, and I am trying to figure out what I should do with my DS while in labor? He'll be 20 monthsat that time (he's almost one now), and so far has not been left with anyone. I don't know who I would trust to watch him, but I'm afraid it will be overwhelming to care for him, or have him in there and try to deliver, or does my DH just take him out of the room when he gets fussy?? I have no idea what will work best. But I do know I need to be relaxed, and Sabien may prevent that from happening. What are you mommas thinking? Anyone had a toddler present?? Won't he be scared?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.
What will you do....?

I'm choosing for ds to go with friend/family during this birth. He'll be 2 and a half at that time. I just know that I will want to focus on the task at hand.
You could do several 'trial runs' from now until the birth.....maybe then at the time of the birth he will be used to leaving mamma for shot spurts, and you won't have to worry about him, knowing that he is fine/happy. Just a thought!

Luckily, my MIL is wonderful with him, and he has been with her for short periods of time with no problem, so I am going to enlist her for that task.
