I keep telling myself... every baby does it in their own time, BUT... - Page 2

Kalpana is scooting around on the floor (and occasionally licking it...) on her belly and looking around for telephones and cameras to get her hands on. And Amrita is content lying on her back and flipping over *maybe* once a day, or until she screams to be held in a standing/sitting position. It's insane. They are SO different. At opposite ends of normal, as my mom put it. It's so hard not to compare them. I'm scared Kalpana will be walking before she's even tall enough to hold my hand! I got really teared-up looking at some "baby" pictures of theirs, too, the other night. I had not realized how much they'd grown! *sniff*

Ella...one of the the first born is not sitting or crawling.

She can roll her chubby self from back to belly but can't roll back over. She pushes her arms up but hasn't pulled or been on all 4s. And If we try to sit her up, she falls right over after a second or two.

I am very happy though as we are moving in a month or two and the temp apartment we are in is so not baby friendly. I do not want to baby proof this place.

You gave Luka the idea and all of a sudden he's crawling (only backwards so far LOL)! At 4.5 mos, this sucks. I mean, I'm proud and all, but I was JUST crying about how sad I am to see my baby getting bigger. No more babydom for me, probably ever.

How adorbable is she!

I don't know what's going on with Drew's hair. He's neither gained nor lost a single strand since birth. It looks exactly the same.

Wow, Claire, I'm impressed! Walking at 7 months? My mom said I started walking at 8 months and I thought that was crazy, but 7??? Wow! I can't even imagine that. Samara is just starting to do that tripod sitting thing, with her hands propping her up in between her legs, but she only does it for a few seconds and then falls over. She's been rolling over for a while now, and she rolls all over the place. She can't crawl yet, but she's pretty darn mobile just from all of the rolling she does.

OMG, I'm sooo glad my baby only rolls onto his side and that's it.
He's been screaming a lot the last few days and it's driving me a little batty. I know he's going to be up and running in no time and I don't look forward to it. However, I'm grateful he will be able to crawl and walk and talk. He already has more physical function than my disabled 14 yr old DS.

thanks, kiran, for the photos!

they are soooo cute! I have to admit I always thought having a twin would be so amazing, lucky kids... I can't even imagine how you do it (i can hardly handle one) but they look so healthy and happy - you are doing a fabulous job!

kir, your girls are so cute - such expressive eyes and faces. And I agree, that one with the two of them together is priceless!

wow, claire, walking at 7mo!

Ethan crawled, sat, and walked pretty late so I'm constantly impressed by Galen's coordination. He's totally into rolling and standing (holding fingers). Not so much into sitting - he tends to want to straighten his body so he falls over. Oh, and the alligator death roll during diaper changes... we use velcro pockets and even they're challenging to get on the 1/2 second before he rolls
