Ready fro Birth - but not for Baby

This probably sounds crazy but:

I feel totally ready for labor and birth. But just to think that one day I am pregnant and the next day I will be taking care of a little stranger for the rest of my life. It's really freaking me out a bit.
I loved the preparing, getting stuff ready, etc. ...but what the heck am I going to do with a live little human? :

Just so long as you don't forget her in the house when you run out for pizza, you'll be fine.

Yes, I think every soon-to-be parent goes through the same thing.

You will fall so in love with that baby that these thoughts will be ancient history.

I can totally relate! I started losing my mucus plug last night and I was soooo excited, then all of a sudden it hit me: this means baby is really truly arriving! And I gotta say, I felt a little freaked out.

It's scary, but we'll be fine. Right?

awwwwww - the first. I remember that feeling! It was BIZARRE to think that this was an actual person coming into my life FOREVER and ever!

And then I remember the day after we got home, she was nursing and I was rocking her and looking at her tiny little face and I started crying, sobbing deep from the soul sobs. DH asked what was wrong and I simply said, "I didn't know I would LOVE her so much!" Yes, the feeling was that strong.

prepare to fall in love momma!
