I use progest cream because I used to have horrible painful periods. After my kids were born things got better but now I am back to using it again.
I don't know if there is a certain time to test but I do know there is a certain time to use the cream. If you're trying to get preggo you shouldn't use it until you ovulate and then use it throughout the pregnancy until around week 10-12. I think many people have high estrogen levels because of all the fake estrogen in the environment. Progest cream is supossed to help get your bones back to being strong. Estrogen can help stop the loss.
Anyhow, I am not a doctor or expert of any kind. I use the cream to help lengthen my luteal phase because it is a bit short for conception.
HTH!

I used to take compounded capsules (haven't since having DS because cycle hasn't come back yet). I would take them days 15-28 of my cycle (day 1 being the first day of my period) to help with PMS, VERY bad cramping, and history of ovarian cycts. I LOVED how I felt on it (I was taking 12.5mg in the am and 25mg in the pm) and yes, I did feel a bit tired at first but my body adjusted to it. It sounds like you may be taking too much, some people only need a timy bit, either that or it is not being absorbed properly in to the system. The doc that I saw used capsules because of that very reason, he had trouble regulating creams and the capsules were 12 hr slow release.
Would you be able to find a doc that could get you on capsules and play around with those for a cycle or two?
Please feel free to PM if you want. I used to work for my doc on the nursing staff so I am pretty familiar with how Progesterone works, what it does, and how it is often best taken.
