Hi mommas!
On the evening of the 9th I started having strong ctx again, but of course wasn't sure. I decided to time them and they were 5 mins apart and getting stronger for 35 mins. I decided to wake DH and tell him it was time.
By the time we got to the hospital they were 2 mins apart.
I can honestly say that with hypnobirthing dilating from 5 - 10 was not difficult at all. It hurt, but not terribly - was very manageable.
And then he was still at -3. From 11PM - 12:30 These ctx were STRONG and I was *supposed* to be breathing him down. I tried, but then they kept getting stronger and stronger and I literally could NOT relax any part of my body. Breathing was pain. I sat on the birth ball, the toilet, the birthing stool - no relief. I finally got in the water and that helped some.
Got out of the water about 1:00 and the CTX got even stronger. I literally started screaming when they hit.
I began to BEG BEG BEG my MW and nurse for an epidural. They said NO!
:
Boy was I PISSED. I SCREAMED at my MW - "GET ME THE GD EPIDURAL NOW!" And she reminded me of my birthplan - which at this moment I could care less about - I just wanted OUT of my body.
So she left to pretend to find the anesthesiolist. The nurse asked to check me and broke my water, to which I yelled "WHY did you break my water! NOW my CTX are going to HURT even more!" She almost cried. She really didn't mean to.
So then from 1:30 - 2:00 the ctx were overwhelming. I wanted to puke. I screamed.
And then I needed to push. I sat on the toilet. The ctx went away. Or they were met with the need to push.
I moved to the birthing stool when I felt his head.
He was born at 2:23 AM. All 9 lbs 6 oz of him. No wonder it hurt trying to move him down. He is a BIG baby!
All in all I am happy with the birth experience - and so glad my MW and nurse refused to get me an epidural.
They knew it was almost over.
Weston nurses GREAT!
And so fr Ellerie has loved taking on the roll of big sister!
Now I have to read - lots of babies were born!!!
Oh - here's a photo - and let me tell you that he slept 3-1/2 hours in the Amby Bed!!! I didn't get that out of my DD for weeks!

: Welcome Baby Weston!!!
at your birth story, because that was ME 100%!!!! Except, I did get the epidural, but by the time he put it in, I was dilated and ready to push, if I would have known THAT, I could have held off.
Welcome little Weston!
