Speghetti Feed Help!!!

I am putting on a speghetti feed for 200 people at my ds school's open house next week. I am not worried about the salad, cookies and drinks. The sauce I will keep warm in crockpots. But I can't decide the best way to do the noodles. Cook them in big batches as I go along or pre-cook them off site and the reheat them with boiling water on site?
Has anyone done this? Tricks, pointers . . . .I need all the help I can get!

I would totally make a bunch ahead of time and then reheat as you need them. Make, say 3/4 of what you need ahead of time, in case you over estimate, and as you get toward 1/2 way through, start the water for the rest of what you'll need. That's what I'd do.

Thanks!
I am planning to precook the pasta, flash boil it in large batches, mix it with the sauce and put it chafing dishes for serving.
I am not sure how much pasta I'll need to buy . . . how much per person? any idea . . ?
A sad twist of events has taken the primary organizer of my event out of town for a death . . . suddenly it seems I am in charge. But, I'd much rather have to deal with a speghetti crisis than the unexplainable death of a loved one so I am not complaining.

I worked in a restaurant. We pre-cooked the pasta. Cooled it in ice water, oiled it and then weighed it into the correct portion sizes. Then off to the fridge. We had a large stock pot of water boiling and just dumped it in, heated it up, scooped it out and served it. Worked good and tasted like it was just cooked. HTH

I was wondering about cooling before I bagged it - ice water, duh!
How long did you keep it in the boiling water before serving? Was it necessary to drain it?
Thanks

We cooked it about 2 minutes to reheat it. Yes we drained it sort of, pulled it out of the water with tongs and let it drip.
