A friend of mine has decided, after much deep and troubled thought, not to do a trial of labor but to schedule a second section. Her recovery from the last one was rough whereas mine was not. Neither of us expected it last time, so neither of us read-up on it.
This time, I'm offering to at least get her some references/information so that she can take a little bit of control over her experience.
Last time, her husband didn't stay with her (it never occurred to them) whereas my husband was with me the whole time. This time, her husband will be with her for the first two nights, and that will be a big help. Plus, he's taking more time off from work.
But I'm looking for other information --books, articles, etc.-- that she can use to empower herself to make this the best c-section experience she can have.
Thanks!
