I need a confidence boost...

I am 41 weeks now and have been having some signs of labor, but nothing has materialized. My last ds was 9 pounds 5 ounces and only three days late. I have a feeling this babe is even bigger. Also, this is a VBAC, so I was hoping to have a little smaller baby and have him a little early. I am also hoping I don't have to be induced as that seems to lead to tons of intervention. But, by 42 weeks it may be a reality. I am so worried that my dream of a natural birth may be out the window. Also, I talked hd into a doula ($950) and I don't want it to be a waste!

Are you having a hospital VBAC then? Just stay upright... and stay home as long as you can. I've birthed a 9 lbs 8 oz breech baby (42 weeks) and a 10 lb baby with a nuchal hand at home unassisted on my bed (41 1/2 weeks)... I'm going into 41 weeks now too, and while frustrated that I'm still waiting I at least know that THIS WILL HAPPEN and I CAN DO THIS.

Better sooner than later, though.

good luck! This won't necessarily be a huge baby-I was 41 weeks with ds #2 he was 9 lbs 4 oz- Wyatt was a little early and weighed the exact same thing!Sometimes size has nothing to do with the length of gestation. I hope you have a wonderful vbac experience. sending you some esy labor vibes-and rmember confidence is key-so keep telling yourself that everything will be fine and that you can do this!
