Phoebe was born last night at home in the water at 12:53 pm after a really efficient and powerful labor. She is 7 pounds (MUCH smaller than I expected!), 19 1/4 inches, and is sleeping next to me right now (I guess I should take advantage of this and sleep too, but I can't stop staring at her! She started nursing like a pro right away.
So all my pelvic pain yesterday actually was contractions. They didn't feel anything like I expected! They started getting serious around 7:00 last night, on my due date!
ETA: Oops, that was 12:53 am, in the middle of the night! Missed Mother's Day by less than an hour. And we decided on a middle name yesterday: Anne.
