Guess what mamas and mamas-to-be? I ran a 5K on Saturday. I did walk one big hill and walk during a huge BH contraction, but I ran most of it and at a decent preggo time. Dh was a sweetie and ran with me, even though it was frustrating for him to go that slow. Both of my girls ran the kids' 1 miler after that, too. I am so proud of my family and so proud that I'm staying active and fit this pregnancy.
Just had to share.

I remember some of you are runners, too, but I can't remember who! I'd love to have an online running buddy if you're still out there!

Good for you!!

I haven't done a very good job of staying active this pregnancy, but I turned over a new leaf and took a good brisk walk around the property this morning while ds played outside.

Good for you VBMama. It just feels so good to be moving while pregnant.
We just bought this house last fall and it has an above-ground pool. I couldn't wait to get it uncovered and ready for swimming. Well, we peeked out there yesterday and there are tons of little tadpoles swimming in our pool. : Crap. Of course the girls think it's the coolest thing ever. But I'm so bummed b/c I don't want to kill them, but I really wanted to just swim and float out there every day of the hot summer.

Good for YOU running that 5K!!! That is awesome. That sounds like climbing Mount Everest to me right now.

Can the tadpoles get out of the pool when they start turning froggy? It's not like a pond with a sloping bottom... Otherwise wouldn't you eventually end up with a pool full of drowned frogs... I think? right?

Ugh-I hadn't even thought of that. The cover is slanted (the pool itself is not), but there are a couple of little holes in it and the they can easily get throught the holes into the regular pool. Sheesh, why can't I have normal problems?
