Got to hear the heartbeat!

So I had my first appt today with my midwife and I really liked her I wasn't sure since I had already fallen in love with the homebirth midwife and can't use her. But it went really well. I got my blood drawn and that sort of thing and then I talked with the midwife for awhile and we got to hear the heartbeat! It was just going right along at 170 bpm! At first we couldn't hear it but then she got her stronger doppler and we found it right away. My uterus is measuring good so everything is great and I go back June 12!

Isn't hearing the heartbeat amazing? DH and I saw it (very briefly) at an early "dating" u/s 3 weeks ago and today I had an appointment and I'm 10.5 weeks and I didn't even know she would try to hear it but she did and it was there.

She kept finding my h/b first though and it took her a bit to find the little faster baby beat. (That is my new favorite smiley lol).

It's so exciting, isn't it? I have my 2nd midwife appointment next Tuesday, I'll be about 11 weeks so we're expecting to hear the heartbeat. DH is getting off work early to come to the appointment, and we're taking the girls too!

So happy to hear that you had a great appointment, and you like the midwife.
